The sun emerges timidly, but forcefully. It breaks through the dark and brings forth the dawn. As an ancient poet once wrote, “The people who walk in darkness will see a great light; Those who live in a dark land, the light will shine on them.” In our newest work, Light of Day, six artists of faith take a risk to step into new work and new ideas.

Celebrating Dennissa
We want to celebrate Dennissa Young as she continues her artistic work in Chicago. As she steps down from leading with Cru Arts and Culture, we want to recognize that she has been a huge blessing to so many people and will continue to be by God's grace. Dennissa graduated in 2015 from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. Dennissa lived in the Middle East for 2 years, and joined with Cru Arts and Culture in 2017. She spent two years with Friday Arts Project in Rock Hill, SC and is now a Chicago artist. She is passionate about getting to know other artists in the Chicago area and collaborating with anyone and everyone will have a conversation with her. You can learn more about her work at www.dennissayoung.com and follow her on social media at @relationallydennissa.
